Can a carnivore go vegan?

Well, I will see.
All the evidence points to meat as a culprit to health problems.
Hmm, hate that. I like my steak and hamburgers. Although I think the American eating habit has changed to having what used to be Sunday dinner every day if not twice daily. We are eating for 2-3 people. No wonder we are fat!

I'm not saying I will never eat steak or hamburgers again, but I realize to kick this BC ogre, I will have to eat healthy.

So for now, veggies here I come.

I have started juicing.  Not bad.
Bought a smoothy maker yesterday - those are good.  yummy

Also kicking out sugar.  I got that mostly by drinking cokes.  I think I was on the carnivorous hummingbird diet  LOL

Not now.  No more cokes -- I never ate much candy or cakes or cookies so that's not a problem.

Eating out may be a problem.  Yikes - just where am I going to go and get something that is not meat and still fills me up?

I am up for the challenge!  God is with me and will lead me to green pastures no doubt full of veggies and then to still waters to drink.

So glad to have God as my Shepherd.

Psalm 23

King James Version (KJV)
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

***Healing scripture for the day.  Speak it aloud. Shout it out. Wield that sword!
Exodus 15:26
King James Version (KJV)
26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

  1. Patty, as you go along this journey, you'll discover tons and tons of information about how to fight this battle, and some of it conflict with something else you hear. So, take it one step at a time.
Cutting out sugar is something I definitely agree with. Sugar is in so many things that we think are healthy, that the amount of sugar we're eating is much more than we imagine.
Moderation is the key. You can still be a carnivorel...but in moderation. You alluded to the fact that we eat too much. It's because the portions are out of control.
So, eat slow, eat smaller portions, lots of protein will fill you up (chicken, eggs, fish, even a little steak)! It's not about deprevation. It's about eating to live and feeling great!
    You know I'm with you!
    Hugs!
